A visual inquiry into the still-unsolved murder of Laura Law in her home in Aberdeen, Washington, on January 4th, 1940. Utilizing crime scene photographs, staged re-enactments, oral histories, and paper ephemera culled from the Aberdeen Police Department's case files, “Who Killed Laura Law?” re-imagines Aberdeen's virile milieu of fraternal vigilantism, sectarianism amongst Finnish immigrants, anti-communist hysteria, and the mutual suspicions between the lumber business leagues and militant labor unions. A combination of actual primary source documents and falsified documentary evidence creates an imagined archive of one of the most dramatic unsolved murders in Washington history.
